* If you rent a home you might notify the owner that the apartment or home will be empty. The landlord may want to check up on it regularly.
* If you have a burglar alarm installed ensure that the housesitter is aware of exactly how to operate it.
* See that the house sitter can reach you easily. Whoever is keeping tabs on the home must know who should be informed if any issue should come up.
