Home: Video Surveillance System Restaurant
Learn about video surveillance system restaurantIs your home going to be empty for several days while you travel on vacation? That is when the home usually is most vulnerable to burglaries and housebreaks. Here are several things you should consider doing. * The best way out is to have a sitter at home. Having someone stay at your home is always safer than an empty house. Try to get a friend or relative to stay at your apartment while you go on vacation. * Stop your newspaper delivery and mail delivery when the house is empty. A mailbox that is overflowing or piles of newspaper tells potential burglars that your house is unoccupied. * If you maintain a garden ensure that someone waters them. Otherwise ensure that the potted plants are kept out of sight. Plants dying slowly are evidence that the apartment is unoccupied. * Put lights, tv and radio on timers. Lights in multiple rooms should be on timers. Use a natural looking sequence for the lights. Turn on the living room lights at sunset. When you go to bed the living room lights should go off and the bedroom lights should switch on. If you generally switch on tv at 7 pm and it remains on till 11 pm the timer should do the same thing. Even if the lights are on the absence of the bluish tv glow might be sufficient evidence that this house is unoccupied. * Request a neighbor to come in to your house frequently. Windows being opened and closed etc signals that the house is occupied. * If you live in a rented home perhaps you can tell your landlord that the house will be empty. The owner may want to keep tabs on the home. * If you use any kind of security system make it a point to see that the house sitter is familiar with how to handle it. * Make certain that the neighbor or house sitter can contact you. The person checking up on the apartment should know who they should intimate should there be a problem.
