* If you rent the home you might notify the owner that the home will be unoccupied. The homeowner may want to check on the apartment or home regularly.
* If you have an alarm system installed ensure that the person who is house sitting is familiar with how to use it.
* See that the neighbor or house sitter can contact you. Whoever is keeping tabs on the home must know who is to be informed should a problem arise.
