* If you rent a home or apartment you may want to notify your landlord that the house will be unoccupied. The homeowner may want to check up on the home sometimes.
* If you have an alarm system installed make it a point to see that the home sitter is aware of just how to work it.
* See to it that the house sitter or caretaker can reach you. The person keeping an eye on the house must be well aware of who is to be informed should any problems come up.
