Windows and curtains being opened are all signs that the home is inhabited. * If you rent a home let the owner know that the house will be empty. The owner may want to keep an eye on it. * If you use an alarm system ensure that the homesitter is aware of precisely how to work it. * Make sure the house sitter can reach you easily. The person watching over the house should be informed about who they should fill in if there is a problem.
