Home: Royal Security Systems
Advice on royal security systemsIs your house going to be empty for some days or weeks while you take a vacation? That is when the house is vulnerable to break ins. Here is a bunch of things to help harden your home against burglaries. * The top way to secure your home is to have a sitter at home. Having someone at home is commonly safer than an empty house. Arrange for a relative or a friend to stay at your house for the time you are away. * Halt the newspaper and mail delivery for the entire time you are away. Mail spilling out of the mailbox tells everyone that nobody is home. * If you maintain a garden have them kept by someone regularly. Alternatively remove the potted plants away from sight. Plants wilting slowly are evidence that the home is empty. * Put the lights and tv on timers. Lights should be on timers in multiple rooms. Use a natural looking sequence for the lights. At sundown the living room lights should switch on. Later on the living room lights should go off and switch on the bedroom lights. If you commonly switch on tv at 9 and keep it on till 10 have your timer do the same. Even if the lights are on the absence of the tv's bluish glow might indicate that the house is uninhabited. * Request a neighbor to come in to your house regularly. Windows and curtains being worked are indications that the home is inhabited. * If you stay at a rented home you may want to let your landlord know that the house will be unoccupied. The homeowner may want to check on the apartment or home regularly. * If you have an alarm or protection system installed see to it that the home sitter knows exactly how to use it. * Make certain that the neighbor or house sitter can contact you. Whoever is keeping tabs on the apartment should know who they should fill in should any problems come up.
