Windows being open now and then denote that the home is inhabited. * If you live on rent you might let the landlord know that you are going out of town. Your houseowner may want to watch over it now and then. * If you use a security system make sure the house sitter recognises how to run it. * See that the neighbor can reach you easily. Whoever is checking on the home must know who they should contact should any problems come up.
