Home: Outdoor Security Cameras For Home
Report on outdoor security cameras for homeIs your apartment or home to be empty for more than a day or two while you take a break out of town? That is when the house is vulnerable to break ins. Here are several specific things to do to defend your home. * The most advisable solution is to arrange for a house sitter. A house where someone is staying is almost always safer than an apartment that is not occupied. Try arranging for a trustworthy friend to live at your house for the time you are away. * Discontinue the newspaper and mail while you are away from home. Piles of newspaper lying around advertises that nobody is home. * If you maintain potted plants that are visible from the road have them maintained by someone. Or Else shift the potted plants where no one can see them. Plants wilting from lack of water are a hint that the home is untenanted. * Put lights, tv and radio on timers. Use light timers in more than one room. Use a natural looking sequence for the lights. The living room lights should come on at sundown. When you normally retire the living room lights should go off and turn on the bedroom lights. If you generally turn tv on at 8 pm most days and it remains on till 11 pm have the timer set accordingly. The living room light may be on but the absence of the tv glow can clue in someone that this house is unoccupied. * See if a neighbor will drop in to your home regularly while you are away. Doors being opened and closed and windows too is evidence that the home is occupied. * If you rent an apartment it may be useful to tell the landlord that you are going away for a few days. The landlord may want to keep tabs on the apartment. * If you have an alarm system active make certain that the homesitter is familiar with how to run it. * Make sure the house sitter can reach you easily. The person responsbile for checking into the house should know who they should contact should a problem crop up.
