Home: Manuals For Auto Alarm Systems
Tips regarding manuals for auto alarm systemsIs your apartment or home to be empty for more than a day or two while you take a much needed break away from town? That is when it tends to be most vulnerable to burglars breaking in. Here are several things to stop break ins. * The best solution is to have a keeper or sitter at home. A house where someone is staying is very likely safer than a house that is empty. Try to arrange for a relative to stay at home while you go on vacation. * Discontinue your newspaper and mail for the entire time you are away. An overflowing mailbox advertises that the home is empty. * If you keep a garden or have potted plants that are visible arrange for them to be kept well. Or shift the potted plants where no one can see them. Wilted plants are evidence that the home or apartment is unoccupied. * Put lights and tv on timers. Use light timers in more than one room. Use a natural looking sequence for the lights. At sundown the living room lights should switch on. At your regular bedtime living room should turn dark and turn on the bedroom lights. If you turn tv on at 7 most days and keep in on till 11 pm set your timer to that schedule. The lights in the house may be on but the absence of the tv can be a sign that this house is unoccupied. * Get a neighbor to come in to your house frequently. Windows being opened and curtains being worked signals that the home is occupied. * If you live in a rented apartment let the landlord know that you will be away. The owner may want to check on the apartment or home regularly. * If you have an alarm or protection system installed see to it that the housesitter is comfortable with how it is to be operated. * Ensure that you leave your contact details with the neighbor. Whoever is checking on the home should be aware of exactly who to call if any issue should come up.
