Home: Inside Security Cameras
The lowdown on inside security camerasIs your home or apartment to be empty for sometime while you take a vacation? That is when the home usually is susceptible to housebreaks. Here are several things and ideas to deal with it. * The better alternative is to get someone staying at home. Having someone at home is normally safer than a deserted home. See if you can get a relative or friend to live at your house while you go on vacation. * Discontinue your newspaper delivery and mail delivery while you are away from home. Unread newspapers and an overflowing mailbox lets everyone know that the house is unoccupied. * If you have potted plants that are visible arrange for them to be watered and kept well. Or Else shift the potted plants where they are not visible from the road. Wilted and dying plants inform housebreakers that the house is empty. * Use timers for radio, tv and lights. Lights in multiple rooms should be on timers. The timings for lights should look natural. At sundown the living room lights should switch on. When you normally retire the living room lights should be put out and the lights in the bedroom should turn on. If you turn tv on at 7 most days and have it on till bedtime have the timer set accordingly. Though the lights may be on the absence of light from the tv may lead to suspiscion that this house is unoccupied. * Request a neighbor to drop in and check on your home on a regular basis. Curtains and windows being opened points out that the house is not empty. * If you stay at a rented home it may be a good idea to notify the owner that the house will be unoccupied. The houseowner may want to keep tabs on the home. * If you have an active alarm system make certain that the house sitter knows how it is to be used. * Make sure you leave your contact details with the house sitter. The person checking up on the apartment must be aware of who they should fill in should any problems come up.
