* If you live in a rented apartment you might let the landlord know that you will be out of station. The houseowner may want to watch over the house.
* If you have an alarm or protection system installed see to it that the homesitter recognises how it is to be worked.
* Make sure the neighbor knows how to contact you. The person checking up on the apartment should know who they should notify if any issue should come up.
