* If you live in a rented apartment notify the landlord that the apartment or home will be empty. The landlord may want to check up on it regularly.
* If you have installed a burglar alarm see to it that the housesitter is aware of exactly how to run it.
* See that you leave your contact details with the neighbor. The person checking up on the apartment should be aware of who they should intimate should a problem crop up.
