Windows being opened and closed etc is evidence that the home is inhabited. * If you live in a rented apartment perhaps you can tell your landlord that you are going out of town. The owner may want to check on it. * If you use a burglar alarm system ensure that the home sitter knows exactly how to use it. * See that the house sitter can reach you easily. The person checking up on the apartment should be informed about exactly who to call should any issues come up.
